Trường Việt ngữ Cy-Fair tổ chức Tết Nhâm Thìn vào sáng ngày 11/2/2012 tại Trường Bleyl Middle High - 10800 Mills Rd. Houston, TX 77070.

Thi vẽ Rồng.
Dear parents,
To celebrate the 2012 Vietnamese Lunar New Year, the year of the dragon, we are organizing a Dragon Drawing Contest, where students can draw, color, and decorate a dragon on a paper size minimum 12”x 18” and maximum 24” x 36”.
Mrs. Thao Do will coordinate the drawing session on Saturday, February 11 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Bleyl Middle School (10800 Mills Rd.) where the Cy-Fair Vietnamese-American PTO Lunar New Year Celebration will take place.
Students who want to participate in the contest are required to be present at the school’s cafeteria to draw and decorate.
Papers and crayons will be provided at the session, and students can bring in their additional materials or tools, if desired (no glitters.)
The Lunar New Year Celebration is at 11:00 am on the same day, and we will display the art work there. Prizes awarded will be: 1st place - $50, 2nd place - $30, 3rd place - $20. Kính gửi phụ huynh,
Để đón mừng Tết Nguyên Đán 2012, năm con rồng, Hội Phụ Huynh và Giáo Chức Khu Học Chánh Cy-Fair sẽ tổ chức Cuộc Thi Vẽ Con Rồng.
Các em học sinh có thể vẽ, tô màu, trang trí con rồng trong khuôn giấy từ 12” x 18” cho tới 24” x 36”.
Các em nào muốn thi vẽ con rồng, cần phải đến Trường Bleyl (10800 Mills Rd.) ngày 11, tháng 2, 9:00 – 11:00 sáng, để vẽ hình của mình duới sự hướng dẫn của Cô Thảo Đỗ.
Hội sẽ cung cấp giấy, crayons để vẽ, và các em có thể mang theo màu tùy ý và trang trí hình của mình.
Những tranh vẽ này sẽ được trưng bày trong ngày mừng Tết Nguyên Đán của Hội Phụ Huynh và Giáo Chức Khu Học Chánh Cy-Fair, 11:00 sáng, cùng ngày 11, tháng 2, và hội sẽ trao giải thưởng cho hạng nhất ($50), hạng nhì ($30), và hạng ba ($20).
Chúng tôi hy vọng con em của quí vị sẽ tham gia vào Cuộc Thi Vẽ Con Rồng và hãnh diện về sáng tác của mình.

A symbol of good fortune and sign of intense power, the Oriental Dragon is regarded as a divine beast. It is a creature of myth and legend and it is said to be a deliverer of good fortune and a master of authority. Snake your way over to the Children’s Museum of Houston as we celebrate the Year of the Dragon with ardent activities and fiery performances during our Lunar New Year celebration.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Lion Dance: Watch the lions boogie to the beat of the drums. Enjoy an exhilarating performance of this Chinese traditional dance.
Event Time: 2 p.m. in the Brown Auditorium.- Traditional Dances: Discover the symbolic expression of dance as the Oriental Arts Education Center, Anjali Center for Performance Arts and the Tropical Rhythms Teens Dance Troupe enlighten with unique performances.
Event Time: 2:20 p.m. through 3 p.m. in the Brown Auditorium. - Dragon Dares: Immerse yourself in creativity at our six different activity stations. Discover why arts are an important part of Asian culture through lei making, henna hand writing, calligraphy and more!
Event Time: All day long.
ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:
Dragons on Parade: Dragon parades are traditionally used to celebrate this holiday. Design a colorful dragon costume at the Alexander Art Academy.- Explore the Science of Colors: Discover how fireworks, which originated in China, get their fantastic color at Science Station.
- Chinese Door Hanger: Welcome good fortune into your home this year at Junktion.
- Chinese Fan: Come to Junktion and fasten yourself a pretty fan.
- Dragon Puppet: Bring a dragon to life at Junktion.
- Tantalizing Tangrams: Play a traditional Chinese shape puzzle game.
Event Time: 2 – 6 p.m. at the ExxonMobil Math Cart. - Chopsticks Game: How fast can you move in this Chinese New Year game?
